The geomagnetic SENSORS include the three-axis geomagnetic sensor BMM150 and the six-axis eCompass. The geomagnetic sensors are for optimized mobile applications due to high range and resolution.

6-axis eCompass
With its eCompass family BMC056 and BMC050 Bosch Sensortec started a new portfolio of high precision MEMS sensors for compass applications in mobile phones, navigation SYSTEM and other portable devices.

Two separate sensors are integrated within the LGA PACKAGE.html" target="_blank" title="PACKAGE">PACKAGE: a triaxial magnetometer for geomagnetic field detection and a triaxial accelerometer for tilt compensation. The integrated accelerometer features all functionalities of a standalone Bosch Sensortec BMA.

3-axis geomagnetic sensors
Bosch Sensortec has developed a compact triaxial magnetic field sensor measuring the terrestrial magnetic field. The BMM150 is implemented in Wafer Level Chip Scale Package (WLCSP), resulting in an extremely small footprint of only 1.56 mm x 1.56 mm and a height of just 0.6 mm.

The utilization of Bosch's innovative FlipCore measurement technology provides superior properties with respect to power consumption and measurement range.
